These photos show construction progress on the new Bass Pro Shops attraction that is being built inside the Pyramid in Downtown Memphis. This project was done in conjunction with O.T Marshall Architects out of Memphis, TN. The major portion of this project includes a 265’-0” tall steel elevator and stair shaft constructed at the center of the pyramid. The tower will serve as an observatory for the full attraction and will house a large aquarium at the top. The structure had to be designed to meet strict seismic criteria and was designed so that no additional loads were transferred into the pyramid superstructure. More construction photos to follow!

Progress photos for Overcoming Believers Church done in conjunction with Falconnier Architecture. The new prayer tower is now structurally complete and interior renovations and modifications continue. The prayer tower was a very unique structure that consists of of 9’-6” diameter x 8’-0” tall precast concrete elements stacked up to approximately 65’-0” above grade. The elements were connected together with steel embed plates and field installed “band-aid” plates to resist the wind and seismic loads required by the applicable building codes.
These photos were taken in Lenoir City at the new Hicks Orthodontics Dental Facility. The project was designed with our friends at Barber McMurry Architects and is currently nearing structural completion. The project consists of steel and wood construction with unique roof with multiple interior pitches and interior roof drains. The project also required some unique structural framing with steel and concrete to achive the large cantilevers and exposed structural steel look. More photos to come as the building progresses!
