CSA Knoxville had the privilege to work with Barber McMurry Architects on the new Hicks Orthodontics Dental Facility building . Not only did the building win the AIA East Tennessee’s People Choice award but the design was a finalist for the Arch Daily Building of the year. The project consists of steel and wood construction with unique roof with multiple interior pitches and interior roof drains. The project also required some unique structural framing with steel and concrete to achive the large cantilevers and exposed structural steel look.
Here’s another construction update for the new, three story Clear Springs Baptist Church. A 70,000+ square foot church designed by Falconnier Design Company. The structure consists of a mix of structural steel, hollow core planks, and reinforced masonry.
