Lakeland Team Participates in Go Lucy Go 5k

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Ben Lucy & Dr. Asim Choudri Ready, Set, Go Running StartCSA Lakeland was fortunate to participate and sponsor the 2015 Go Lucy Go 5k/10k/Kids’ Fun Run last weekend. The race, which is the primary fundraiser for the Go Lucy Go Foundation, had almost 1000 people participate, netted over $33,000 for the LeBonheur Neuroscience Institute, and had 100 people sign up to be bone marrow donors.

The foundation took shape several years ago as a way to pay forward thanks to those who had been so kind to the Krull family when they were at their most vulnerable. In February of 2011, their daughter Lucy was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer, Medulloblastoma.

Examples of the foundation’s work include providing family grants to assist with the non-medical needs of families and funding travel and education for key personnel of the neuroscience floor at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

While several of the Lakeland team participated in the race, our own Ben Knoernschild showed off his fast speed by winning the 10k race with a 33:43:0 time!

Construction Update: UT Gardens Treehouse

Monday, April 13, 2015

Check out the progress on the new University of Tennessee Gardens Treehouse Project we worked on with our friends at Sanders Pace Architecture.  The project was awarded to Sanders Pace through a design competition hosted by UT and The American Institute of Architects East Tennessee Chapter.  The design was 1 of 6 entries that were judged by a 6 member design Jury.  Check out the other entries here:

CSA consulted and collaborated with Sanders Pace to turn this unique cantilevered structure into a reality.  The structure should be completed in the University of Tennessee Gardens on Neyland Drive by late summer of 2015.
