Our CSA Knoxville office was excited to participate in this year’s Knoxville Canstruction. The event consists of teams of Knoxville architects, engineers, contractors, designers and students will construct holiday-themed works of art made entirely of canned food. All canned food used to build the sculptures are donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. Overall Canstruction is one of the largest national food bank drives in world and takes place in more than 170 U.S. cities each year.

Our team this year consisted of our Knoxville team, Architects Wright and Harrison Construction Company and our design was the CANley Street Bridge and Fort CANdoun Dam (with the Tennessee River and the Knoxville Princess making an appearance as well)! All designs are on display at the Knoxville Convention Center from November 22nd – December 2nd.

Last Friday, our CSA Knoxville office called it quits a little early and headed down the street to the newest downtown attraction, Maple Hall Bowling Alley, for a little fun (yes, sometimes engineers can cut loose). The bowling alley is located in the basement of the historic and newly remodeled J.C. Penney building in the heart of downtown Knoxville. The team had a blast enjoying drink, treats and bowling!

Go Lucy Go 2016

Friday, May 6, 2016

CSA Lakeland was fortunate to participate and sponsor the 2016 Go Lucy Go 5k/10k Run last weekend. The race raised $30,200 for the Go Lucy Go Foundation, the highest amount of sponsorship dollars to date, and had 876 total participants.

The foundation took shape several years ago as a way to pay forward thanks to those who had been so kind to the Krull family when they were at their most vulnerable. In February of 2011, their daughter Lucy was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer, Medulloblastoma.

For more information on Lucy’s story or to see highlights of the race, go to http://www.golucygo.org/gallery/.
