Tiffany Eigenmann joined the CSA family as its office manager in August.  She comes to us from an architectural firm in Knoxville and has over 12 years experience in business management for the A/E industry which makes her a valuable asset to CSA!

CSA is pleased to announce the addition of Britt Hancock.  Britt graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering. He is a Revit specialist and has also worked as a project manager on large construction projects on the gulf coast.  He will be joining the team as a Revit Technician and construction administration specialist.  We are glad to welcome him to our CSA family!

 

Printer’s Alley – Nashville, TN

CSA Nashville was mentioned in the news for their involvement on the Printer’s Alley project in Nashville, TN. CSA Nashville:

  • Evaluated the top level of the existing garage for damage and deterioration and provided remediation recommendations,
  • Coordinated with the architect for structural shoring recommendations for proposed demolition of existing structures on the top level (the shoring and the new screenwall mentioned in the article will be part of a future contract for us),
  • Designed and detailed reinforcement of existing structural elements (concrete beams and girders) to support the new loads for the proposed double vehicle stackers to be installed on the top level.

Exciting News for 2017

Happy New Year!  2017 is looking like another great year for CSA.  We have some exciting news to share.

  • We have a newly licensed engineer in-house.  Our own, John Irving, recently passed the S.E. exam.  Congrats John!john-headshot-with-cert-cropped

Construction Update: St. Jude Data Center

Steel is being erected at the new St. Jude Data Center in Memphis, TN. This $28 million project is a 3-story, tier 3 facility utilizing Viscous Fluid Dampers as part of the Seismic resisting system, designed to withstand EF3 tornado wind speed of 165mph, and a 100 year minimum flood resistance. CSA is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Michael Patrick, P.E., S.E. to the Knoxville Team.  Mr. Patrick comes to CSA with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.  He has been practicing Structural Engineering since 2003 and he has over ten years of experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, government, medical, and nuclear facilities.  He is knowledgeable in national, military, nuclear, and private industry building codes and is licensed in Tennessee and Minnesota. We are excited to have him as a part of our team!

SAE Baja Competition

CSA helped sponsor the SAE Baja Team at the University of Tennessee at Martin. The purpose of this competition is to design and fabricate a one person mini-baja vehicle to compete in a series of competitions held to assess the performance of the vehicle by being tested on maneuverability, endurance, acceleration, pulling, braking, and top speed. New Office Location and Director of CSA Nashville

Mark Mize 02CSA is excited to announce the opening of our Nashville division office and to welcome our new district manager, Mark Mize!

Mark is joining us after spending 10 years in both the private and public sector in Knoxville,TN,  Jacksonville, FL and Nashville, TN. His design experience consists of single and multi-story structures including commercial office, retail, multi-family, residential, mixed-use, industrial, institutional, medical, data storage, and infrastructure facilities constructed with structural steel, light gage metal, cast-in-place and precast concrete, masonry, wood, and heavy timber. Additionally, Mr. Mize is an experienced forensic structural engineer who has performed investigations of existing facilities for failures, structural capacity analyses for new occupancy, due diligence investigations, and renovations and additions.

We are thrilled to have Mark as a part of our CSA team and to help us start this new chapter!
